The Soul Shebang is a proper eight-piece live soul band — not a conventional function band with a few soul songs in the set.
We're an established band with a stunning lead vocalist, backing vocals, a driving rhythm section built to fill the dance floor and our very own Silver Horns, bringing trumpet and sax to the sound.
We bring professional PA, stage lighting and our own dedicated sound engineer, and we'll work with your venue to make sure everything runs smoothly. And experience gleaned from the festival circuit and from playing some of the North's top soul venues means we are well versed in making sure audiences have a great time.
We have an extensive repertoire of soul classics - think Aretha, Otis, The Four Tops, The Temptations, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Candi Staton. Jackie Wilson, Martha Reeves, Marvin Gaye. The list, like the party, goes on and on. Whether it's Motown, Stax, Atlantic or funk these are songs everyone knows and everyone feels the urge to dance to - especially when a real soul band like The Soul Shebang takes to the stage.

OUR PACKAGES
Every Soul Shebang wedding includes the full eight-piece band, professional PA, dedicated sound engineer and stage lighting. We don't offer cut-down line-ups that compromise our sound. We'll liaise with the venue when it comes to timings and our technical requirements leaving you to enjoy your day.
We have 3 packages to choose from:
The Soul Shebang Evening
Two 45-minute sets of high-energy live soul, plus a curated soul/Motown playlist through our PA between sets.
The Extended Soul Experience
Two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets, plus we'll learn your first dance or another agreed special song, subject to suitability.
The Whole Shebang
Everything in the Extended Soul Experience, plus early setup and an extended finish.

Because we're a working live band, you're welcome to come and see us before you book. A showreel gives you a flavour of The Soul Shebang, but there's nothing quite like seeing the reaction of a real audience.
